Why Prostate MRI?
Prostate MRI can detect abnormalities and lesions that other imaging methods cannot see. It also helps distinguish between lower-grade tumors versus more aggressive cancers and detect whether or not the cancer has spread outside of the prostate wall.
PSMA PET/CT
Charter Radiology’s powerful 128-slice Biograph mCT PET/CT may detect the early onset of disease before it is visualized on traditional modalities such as X-ray, CT, or MRI.
With almost 250,000 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed each year, PSMA PET/CT is more important than ever before. PSMA injection is a small molecule PSMA-targeted PET imaging agent that enables visualization of lymph nodes, bone, and soft tissue metastases to determine the presence or absence of recurrent and/or metastatic prostate cancer.
Charter Radiology is excited to announce its use of Illuccix®, after radiolabeling with Ga-68, a radioactive diagnostic agent indicated for positron emission tomography (PET) of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positive lesions in men with prostate cancer.
