Employment as a Technologist
Charter Radiology is seeking knowledgeable and personable candidates to provide friendly, courteous assistance to each and every patient to ensure the patient has a positive, professional experience at our imaging centers.
Job purpose:
- To provide exceptional customer service while producing high quality diagnostic MRI and CT procedures with occasional X-Ray imaging
Duties and responsibilities:
- Performs high quality routine and specialized MRI procedures independently utilizing Siemens scanners
- Performs high quality routine and specialized CT procedures independently utilizing Siemens scanners
- Performs procedures in accordance with Charter Radiology policies, procedures and protocols
- Must be able to perform and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrates good judgment when correlating patient history and scanning protocols. Knows when to divert from routine scans and provides additional scans to achieve highest quality and best service
- Communicates closely with the Radiologist, Referring Physicians, and other support staff
- Communicates with the patient by answering any questions they may have
- Occasional X-Ray imaging may be required
Recommended Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program from an AMA approved educational institution
- Certifications in both Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) and Computed Tomography (CT) from the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
- Maryland state licensure
- Venipuncture experience required
- Two or more years of MRI and CT experience
- Siemens experience preferred
Physical requirements:
- Sufficient physical strength needed to maneuver patients
- Manual dexterity in operating the controls of an CT scanner
Recommended experience:
- CT Technologist: 2 years
- Siemens: 1 year
- MRI Technologist: 2 years
